Hello

I’m Lindsay,  Chinese medicine practitioner, acupuncturist, herbalist, educator, and lifelong student of how our health shifts with the seasons, our environment, and the patterns we carry.

Seasonal Vitality grew from my desire to make the wisdom of Chinese medicine feel practical, beautiful, and usable in everyday life. Through planners, retreats, education, and personalized wellness tools. I hope to help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and create healthier rhythms that feel sustainable and deeply personal.

My Story

I’m Lindsay Herrera Kaplan, L.Ac., MSAOM, Dipl.O.M., LMT, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, massage therapist, educator, and founder of Seasonal Vitality. For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with patients using Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element theory, herbal medicine, bodywork, and functional medicine principles to help uncover individual patterns and create practical, sustainable ways to support health.

I earned my Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in 2007 after completing my Bachelor of Science in Herbal Sciences in 2004. I am nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and I completed my massage training at Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle.

My post-graduate training has taken me through a wide range of clinical settings. I completed a clinical externship at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, participating in internal medicine and gynecology rounds alongside experienced TCM physicians. I have also completed advanced training in Acupuncture Physical Medicine, chronic fatigue, acupuncture detoxification, women’s health, maternity care, distal acupuncture, Master Tung acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and advanced pulse diagnosis.

Early in my career, I helped establish the first acupuncture and massage therapy departments at The Spine Center in East Lansing, Michigan, where I worked alongside physicians, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, and physical therapists. I later founded and operated Achieving Health Clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado for nine years before joining TCM Clinic in 2019, where I have been able to focus more fully on patient care, education, writing, and continued professional study.

My clinical interests include internal medicine, emotional health, cardiovascular patterns, sleep, fatigue, pain, and the ways Chinese medicine can reveal deeper constitutional and seasonal patterns. I incorporate Advanced Medical Pulse Diagnosis, Eight Extraordinary Vessel theory, Chinese herbal medicine, acupressure, nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and functional medicine concepts into my work. I am also continuing my studies through Functional Medicine University as I deepen the integration of Eastern and Western approaches to health.

Seasonal Vitality grew from my desire to make the wisdom of Chinese medicine feel practical, beautiful, and usable in everyday life. Through planners, retreats, education, and personalized wellness tools, I hope to help people reconnect with their own rhythms and create healthier patterns that can evolve with the seasons.
